Abstract: Abstract: Abstract A device capable of measuring the pollution emitted by a fixed source was developed. This device captures signals of CO, NOx, NH3 and other types of polluting gases that are harmful to human health. The intention with this is to measure stationary sources such as chimneys, pollution in outdoor and indoor environments, homes, laboratories, and other areas where the measurement of polluting gases applies. This device was made using two sensors, an Arduino Uno and a microSD module that allows to store and later visualize the data through Excel or other similar application. When testing the device, an autonomy of 2h with a 9V square battery was found, in addition, after measuring with this device in a chimney, it was found the growth in particles per million in gases such as nitrogen oxides, ammonia, and a constant permanence for 1 hour. As for the CO variable, its growth was minimal and after a short time it was also established at its initial values. During this project it was possible to appreciate the importance of the characterization of the sensors, it is a fundamental part to understand how it works and the output signal to understand what it transmits. The device is portable, economical, and versatile, can be connected either to an external power supply or be powered by batteries, in this case, adapting to high distance measurements.
