Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this project is to develop a teaching module that allows for temperature control practices using an incandescent lamp. The objective is to provide students with a practical tool with which to understand and apply basic automation concepts, especially in closed-loop systems. An applied methodology was used, with an emphasis on experimentation and the development of a functional prototype using Arduino and temperature sensors. Throughout the project, the system's thermal behavior was modeled, different control strategies (such as ON/OFF, proportional, and PI) were implemented, and the results obtained were analyzed through real-life tests and simulations. The constructed module proved to be a useful teaching resource, as it allows for real-time observation of a system's response to different control conditions. In addition, a practical exercise guide was designed to facilitate its use in the classroom. Overall, the project provides an accessible and effective solution to support learning in automatic control.
